Team Hertel is excited to continue meeting voters and organizing in preparation for the election. From knocking on doors to a roundtable discussion with our youngest supporters, we’ve heard from a wide range of voters throughout the past few weeks.

As we travel across the district, knock more doors, and host more events, I want to invite you to come out and join us.

Saturday Canvasses

Join Kevin and the team on Saturday mornings as we talk with voters about the issues that matter most to families in our lakeshore community — lowering costs, investing in public education, protecting Lake St. Clair, and more.

No prior canvassing experience is needed. We’ll provide training, materials, and everything you need before heading out. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or knocking doors for the first time, your help will make a real difference as this district will be one of the most competitive races in Michigan, and every conversation we have now brings us one step closer to victory in November.

Weekday Volunteer Shifts

As election season ramps up, so does our people-powered field operation! Every week, we’re starting to launch canvasses and phonebanks Monday-Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where you can drop in and pick up a shift when you can.

Canvass with Denise Mentzer and Michigan LCV

We’ve also got a special canvass on coming up with State Rep. Denise Menzter and the Michigan League of Conservation Voters.

On Thursday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m., we'll be talking with voters across Mount Clemens. This is a great opportunity to have meaningful conversations with your neighbors and help elect leaders who will fight for clean energy, environmental protection, and strong communities.

Youth Engagement Series

We’re continuing our series of events designed to engage young people ages 16-22 and allow them to build community, while learning about government, gaining hands-on campaign experience, and engaging in voter education.  There are two weeks left of the program, and we would love to meet more young voters!

Fundraiser Kicking Off the Road to November

We’re moving full speed ahead toward November, and we need your help to fuel the massive grassroots operation we have planned.

Join us for an evening fundraiser on Thursday, August 27th at 5:30 p.m. as we kick off the biggest phase of our campaign. Together, we'll build the momentum we need to reach voters across the district and win this race in November.
